Brooke Barnett, the 16th President of Rollins College
Brooke Barnett is the 16th president of Rollins College. She has served in a number of higher education administrative roles, including Executive Vice President and Provost and Dean at Butler University and Associate Provost at Elon University. Barnett began her career as a journalist and media producer. She later earned her PhD and became a tenured full professor teaching courses in media law and ethics, visual communication, and documentary film. An award-winning educator and widely published scholar, she has authored or co-authored six books and more than 40 articles in academic journals and mass media. She is a nationally recognized voice in higher education and has served on numerous boards and councils, including the American Association of Colleges and Universities (AAC&U), Higher Education Resource Services (HERS), and on the leadership team for the College Presidents for Civic Preparedness at the Institute for Citizens and Scholars. She holds a BA from Georgetown College and an MA and a PhD from Indiana University.
