Can students suggest campus dining options?

Yes, students can make suggestions for campus dining options at Rollins College. Rollins values student opinions and actively seeks their input to enhance the dining experience. We meet monthly with the Student Culinary Council, a group comprising students from various campus organizations who bring diverse backgrounds and dietary perspectives to the table. In addition, an SGA senator serves as a dedicated voice for student dining needs. These conversations have a direct impact on our menu choices and dining offerings. Students can share their ideas or concerns at any time through our dining feedback form.

How does Rollins approach recycling and food waste?

Rollins is committed to sustainability. Our approach includes responsible waste management, food sourcing, and student engagement. Recycling stations are clearly labeled across campus dining locations to ensure the proper disposal of materials, and food waste is minimized through composting efforts and trayless dining initiatives. We proudly operate a student-run garden that supplies fresh produce directly to our dining services, fostering both local sourcing and hands-on learning opportunities. As a designated Fair Trade Campus, Rollins ensures that many of the products served support ethical labor and environmental practices.

In response to student feedback and as part of our long-term sustainability goals, we aim to make 50 percent of our menu plant-based by 2028—a shift that will significantly reduce our dining-related carbon footprint and environmental impact.
