Teymuroglu Selected to Serve on MAA Membership Committee

Mathematics professor Zeynep Teymuroglu has been invited to serve on the Mathematical Association of America’s Membership Committee.

As part of the Mathematical Association of America’s (MAA) Membership Committee, math professor Zeynep Teymuroglu will be responsible for identifying the needs of current and prospective MAA members and making recommendations for ways in which MAA membership benefits might meet these needs. The appointment begins July 2023 and is set to end June 2027.

The Mathematical Association of America is the largest professional society of mathematicians, students, and enthusiasts, with the goal of advancing the understanding of mathematics and its impact on our world. Members include university, college, and high school teachers; graduate and undergraduate students; pure and applied mathematicians; computer scientists; statisticians; STEM professionals, and many others in academia, government, business, and industry.

Fetscherin Wins Major Toy and Parenting Awards

Business professor Marc Fetscherin’s award-winning children’s book Bones Is Back: A Family Tradition for Halloween recently received two major honors related to his toy invention: a Gold Award from the Mom’s Choice Awards and a 2026 NAPPA Award in the Kindness and Inclusion category from the National Parenting Product Awards (NAPPA).
