Fox Day was once again everyone’s favorite day of the year. Relive the magic of Fox Day 2025—the sun-soaked memories, the spontaneous joy, and the spirited traditions that made this year’s celebration unforgettable.
In the early hours of Monday, April 7, the long-awaited Fox made his annual spring debut on Tars Plaza, marking that one magical day when classes are canceled and the campus flocks outside for a sun-soaked celebration.
Daybreak to sunset, Tars savored every second of fun in the sun. From pool time at Lakeside Neighborhood to the picnic on Mills Lawn, here are a few of our favorite moments from Fox Day 2025.

With this being President Cornwell’s last Fox Day proclamation, anticipation was high for something out of the ordinary. Rollins has not had a Monday Fox Day since 1998!

It all started when President Grant Cornwell rolled out the beloved fox statue onto Tars Plaza at daybreak on Monday, April 7, letting everyone know it was too perfect a day outside for classes.

Everyone has their own way of celebrating their excitement for Rollins’ favorite tradition.

The T-shirt pick-up was abuzz with excitement as students lined up in droves, while the ever-adorable fox plushies flew off the tables.

This year, campus activities included video games in Dave’s Boathouse, board games in the Hub, arts and crafts on Bush Lawn, and even a bounce house.

To catch some rays and hopefully a few waves, a handful of Tars headed to the beach, just an hour from campus.

Nothing caps off a day spent soaking up the sun quite like a picnic. The annual Fox Day feast on Mills Lawn was full of favorite comfort foods like burgers, barbecue chicken, smoked sausages, mac-and-cheese, and even fresh glazed doughnut holes.

Fox Day 2025 has officially earned its place in the Rollins history books, joining the ranks of legendary celebrations past. From sun-soaked fun to campus-wide camaraderie, this year’s festivities delivered all the magic and mischief we’ve come to expect from the sneaky fox.

Now, with memories made and plushies in hand, the countdown begins—just 360-ish days until that wily fox makes his grand return and Rollins hits pause for another unforgettable day in the sun.
